Baslow Renewable Energy Day

Baslow Environment Group is running this day to raise awareness of the potential for renewable energy in the village.

The day will consist of information stalls by providers as well as expert-led seminars and Q&As to provide information and dispel myths on the following subjects.

Old Mill Weir Hydro Scheme.

We have received a total of £130k government funding to do technical and commercial feasibility studies on a village hydro regeneration scheme. Phase 1 is almost completed and looks very promising. We are now starting on Phase 2 which will detail the business case, gain legal permissions and describe possible funding mechanisms.
